About Poul Lange
I am a graphic designer, photographer, illustrator and artist living and working in Downtown Los Angeles.
Originally from Denmark (where I got my education at The Royal Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design), I lived 20 years in New York before moving west about 4 years ago.
I have always had a strong affection for literature, so it has been a labor of love to design the book jackets you see in these pages. I work for publishing houses both in the USA and in Europe.
I have always enjoyed using my own illustration and photography for my design assignments, but I also show my images in various galleries. This fall I will have a show of collage and photography at Marie Baldwin Gallery.
Besides book design, I have experience in editorial design, having worked for magazines such as GQ, Fitness Magazine and Condé Nast Traveler. I am currently designing a monthly financial magazine.
